A sunny Sunday and leaving for the O.C.

Its 9am on Monday morning and I'm packing my bag, getting my camera gear ready, making sure I have all necessary papers in hand. Little Joey is running around and Jaden is patiently waiting to get my attention. It has been a long time waiting for the day I would go to THE WORKSHOP....the Jasmine Star Workshop. And this day has finally arrived!

Within the next eight hours, I'll find myself on a plane headed to the OC, to meet with 20 other amazing photographers (and J* of course) and take part in the one-day workshop, that not only I wished to be a part of, but 100s and 100s of others would love to be as well. I'm so LUCKY!

I arrive home later this week, so be sure to check back with photos from this epic event!! In the meantime, here's a sneak peak from this past Saturday's shoot...I think this one photo explains it all.

Outer Beauty

I wish! I can barely get a break from the kiddos (not that its a bad thing; I absolutely LOVE being around them). But imagine treating yourself to a day of beauty! Get a "apple & spice" facial, followed by a relaxing massage and finished off with a makeover. Now that's heaven!

Introducing Outer Beauty Skincare, a new beauty boutique in Petaluma, which opened on April 1st. I had the pleasure of photographing the boutique for owners, Lindsay and Audrey, both who specialize in skincare. (I feel like I'm producing a commercial or something...lol).

Welcome to Date Night!

The last I could remember was February 2009. The last date night Joe and I had alone; no friends, no kids, no parents.....nobody else other than him and I. And of course due to this rare occasion I couldn't possibly forget to bring the camera.

Date Night began with a 4:30p movie showing of Hot Tub Time Machine.....

....a nice walk looking out on the bay and San Francisco in the background afterwards....

(He did his best with his photographing skills, considering he took this photo of me from the neck up...lol)

....followed by a nice relaxing dinner at E&O trading. A bottle of wine later we're headed home to cap the night off with a "welcome home" greeting from the smiling faces of our two adorable, little boys.

Birthday Goodies!

Just like many, I look forward to my birthday every year. And every year it gets better and better....the goodies aka bday gifts of course. And yes, the best gifts come from the best. My hubby. And this year, he surprised me with the best gift possible; one seat out of 20 seats available to attend the Jasmine Star Workshop  in Orange County later this month.

I'm so incredibly excited and I can't wait to take part in an experience of a lifetime! Check back later in the month for a follow-up on my time at the workshop.

Happy Easter!

Wishing you and your families a Happy Easter! Hope you eat lots of delicious food & yummy candy....maybe some cookies like these one's little J received from a friend. Ciao!

EGGIES!!!

He loves them! Eggies he calls them. And the fact that this is his first Easter where he can truly understand when we say, "let's color some eggs" or "Ready to go on a easter egg hunt?" is even better. He was stoked!! The best part was to catch the little guy in action.

Today, we had the pleasure of joining our good friends in a easter egg hunt....and it was Joey's first time!! Now don't diss the basket; mama was a bit of a slacker in purchasing a basket this year, but he'll be waking up to some lovely easter treats from the easter bunny.

My little love! He's checkin' 'em out....and you can never go wrong with a bubble machine. This one was pretty cool.

I caught him eating a piece of chocolate....he knows he can't hide from me.
